A photograph of the gravestone of Squire Munro (1757/8-1835), a Revolutionary War soldier and the son of Nathan Munro. His grave is located in the Elbridge Rural Cemetery in Elbridge, NY. Facing the cemetery with the street to your back, the graves stand on the back right-hand side of the cemetery.
Squire is the focal point of my genealogical work because he was the first generation to live in Onondaga County, New York where family members lived for generations. Combine that with the fact that he was a prominent man who was mentioned numerous times in writing.
The epitath reads:
Hon. Dea.
SQUIRE
MANRO
born
Rehobth Mas.
June 27, 1757
died
Mar. 31, 1835
in his 78. y'r.
