Welcome to the newsletter for the Squire Munro Project — my attempt to compile a list of Squire Munro's descendants for eventual publication in a book.

Descendant Update

When I started this project I had a list of about 500 names. Today, thanks to contributions of data from 30+ different distant relatives, the count of listed descendant has continued to grow and is now at 2,167 names! Please continue to spread the word about my project to other family members who may be in touch with distant relatives with whom I have not yet corresponded.
Photo Project: Gere, Hixson, Hopkins, Munro, & More

Emily Gere, a fifth-great-granddaughter of Squire Munro, has scanned a huge library of photographs for her branch. There are five albums on the site: Gere, Hixson, Hopkins, Munro and Unknown. This last section contains photos that are unlabeled and no one can identify the subject(s). If you have some time, you may want to take a peek especially if you are near those branches of the family tree. If you can help to identify people or contribute information about any photograph(s) it will be most welcome!

Last month I did a minor refresh of the Squire Munro project web site. It's the same data, just presented in a cleaner format. If you haven't visited it in a while you might want to take a look. Please note that the "names" page which lists dead ends in my research is a little outdated... so, some of the names are no longer dead ends.
